It can be applied in so many things; economy, literature, mathematics, music, anatomy and others.
In relationship, convergence is when people get along with each other for a long enough time, their act, thinking and even appearance will becoming more alike as the relationship progress.
Language convergence for example, when two or more people speak out about the same thing accidently, that is convergence. It's like, a person significantly to influence each other and become more similar as result.
